First Day

Well, here we are! After so much planning and preparation, it is great to finally be on the road with my students. So far the trip is going very well. Tonight we are in Coralville, and tomorrow... well... I can't say yet, but it's going to be great!

Tonight's teaching introduced the idea that life and faith are lie a race. This illustration is so easy to make; in fact, God's Word uses it frequently. The major point of tonight was a challenge to students to be runners, not walkers, when it comes to the faith race. We looked at several verses, including Isaiah 58:10-11, and the Revelation 3 verse about not being luke-warm. The students responded well to the teaching; I believe they are here for more than just fun, they want to encounter God along the way.

Our three major goals are to have a fun and safe time while (1) growing in unity, (2) encountering God, and (3) serving and blessing the people we come in contact with. Please pray for us to accomplish these goals!

These students are great, we're having so much fun! :-)
